     In August of 2002 a major work of art by ceramic sculptor

Jef Raasch was installed over the reception desk of our hospital.

The work entitled "Animalia" depicts the wide diversity of animal    

life and was commissioned, designed and built especially for the 

space into which it has been installed.                                             

 
 
     Jef Raasch works out of his studio in Milwaukee and has  
 been doing ceramic sculpting primarily of animal forms over the   
  past 10 years.  His work has be shown and sold in many places    
 east of the Mississippi.  The following pages show the process     
  by which this sculptures was built.
