Creature Comfort Boarding

    Our hospital provides a complete boarding service service for dogs, cats, rabbits and rodents.  We offer drop off and pick up any time during normal hospital hours [M-F 7am-7pm and 8:30am-noon Saturdays].  Animals picked up before 11am will not be charged for the day of pickup. 

Advantages of Boarding at McFarland Animal Hospital

    1.  New, clean and comfortable facilities.  Each room is flooded with natural light and heated/air conditioned to a comfortable 70 degrees.  Indoor quarters are separated by solid walls to reduce the anxiety of being housed near other animals.  Clean bedding is provided as needed two or more times per day.  (See tour for pictures of our boarding facilities)

    2.  All dogs are provided exercise time in our outdoor play area 4 times daily.  Dogs that like socializing with other dogs are exercised in groups.  (see tour)

    3.  Low numbers of pets are boarded.  Maximum boarding capacity of our facility is 15 dogs and 8 cats.  This means more individualized attention by our staff and less stress for animals being boarded.

    4.  All boarding is supervised by our veterinary staff. Our veterinarians look after the health and safety of all pets entrusted to our care.  Older animals or those with special needs are given special consideration and care.  Our easy access exercise area is especially suited to the disabled pet.   Animals needing medication while boarding also are accommodated.

    5.  Grooming services can be combined with boarding so pets look and feel their best when they go home. 

Cat Boarding

Cats have their own space far from the sight and sounds of dogs, which is located on the second floor of our building.  Each cat is provided a separate sunlit compartment.  The condos include a full outdoor window view, two level compartments which encourage exercise, and a special hiding space for privacy.
